Welcome!

Riverdale Robotics Pandamonium won the Rookie All-star Award at the 2009 Oregon Regional Competition and participated in the 2009 World Championships in Atlanta, Georgia!

Riverdale Robotics Pandamonium is a second-year FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) team based at Riverdale High School in Portland, Oregon. Our team is officially The Boeing Company / BAE Systems / Riverdale High School FRC Team #2915. As part of the FIRST Robotics Challenge, our team creates a robot each year to participate in regional competitions.

For the challenge we brainstorm, design, build, program, test and refine a 100-to-120-pound robot to complete tasks. We compete with an alliance of two other robots against three more in a series of two-and-a-half-minute matches.

Robotics is a unique and cool activity. It is a "sport of the mind" that requires problem solving, innovation, creativity and teamwork. Your contribution might be in design, mechanics, programming, video gaming (precise robot control!), marketing, business, photography, web design or animation. No matter what your skills, we can use you on our team!

Robotics is completely run by us, the students. We have mentors who help us approach problems and work together effectively, but the robot is essentially completely student-designed and -built. It is incredible that fifteen or twenty young people can make a working robot that successfully completes tasks!

This year, we will be attending both the Oregon and Seattle regionals.
